Stop paying to text dead numbers: clean your list first

A phone list is never as clean as it looks. Numbers get disconnected, people switch networks, and typos slip in at signup. Every message you send to one of those is money spent reaching nobody, and it drags down the delivery rate you use to judge everything else.

What a number lookup tells you

A lookup checks a number against the networks before you send, and tells you three useful things: whether the number is valid at all, whether it is currently active and reachable, and which network it sits on. That last one matters when your pricing or routing differs by network.

Why it pays for itself

Say ten percent of a fifty thousand list is dead. Without a lookup you pay to send fifty thousand messages and reach forty five thousand people. Run the list through a number lookup first, drop the five thousand dead numbers, and you pay for what actually lands. On a list you mail every week, that adds up fast.

Cleaner data, honest numbers

There is a second benefit that is easy to miss. When your list is clean, your delivery rate finally means something. A campaign that "only" reached ninety percent looks like a routing problem until you realise ten percent of the list never existed. Verify first and the numbers you report are the numbers that matter.
